What this first check can flag
Unencrypted DOCX and XLSX only. Source files are read locally and never rewritten. ODT/ODS, DOC/XLS, DOCM/XLSM and PDF are not supported.
Comments and Word revisions
Finds Word and spreadsheet comments and tracked Word changes without reproducing their text.
Explicitly hidden elements
Detects explicit hiding of Word text, sheets, rows and column ranges. Inherited styles are not fully covered.
Links and embedded content flagged
Flags external relationships and embedded objects without following links or running macros. Object contents require separate review.
HTML and JSON reports
Read the HTML in a browser without Office. Reports retain file and component names: protect them if those names are sensitive.
Coverage and limits explained
Distinguishes completed checks, incomplete inspections and files not analysed. An incomplete result never counts as validation.
